AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing
The AKC Canine Good Citizen Program is designed to recognize dogs who have good manners - both at home and in the community.
Some therapy dog groups require CGC as a prerequisite and some insurance companies insist specific breeds demonstrate training certification.
An increasing number of apartment and condo complexes require CGC certification for resident dogs.
